Dear Lord,
We pray for this unprecedented time of uncertainty in our country. We know that the response to the coronavirus in the United States and around the world is rapidly evolving. As the events of the day threaten to disrupt our work, home, and everyday lives, we ask for your wisdom and discernment in how to navigate them.
We pray that you will watch over us and protect us during this time. We lay our fears and anxiety at your feet. For you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power of love and of self-control. Give us peace and strength in the midst of our trouble. Help us to be a source of peace, hope, and light in a dark world.
We pray for good health for ourselves and for our loved ones. Give our world leaders wisdom and discernment as they make decisions every day to help contain the virus. Give divine knowledge to the medical professionals, scientists, and institutions who are testing for the virus, developing vaccines, and caring for the ill. Bring health, healing, and hope to the sick, the elderly, and the vulnerable.
We pray all this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ.
